Britain is officially a police state as police impose a 30-day ban on protests

The right to gather and protest is as fundamental a right as having clean water to drink. When people are prevented from expressing their needs to those who provide them, those people are not free. Today, British police received permission from Britain’s Home Secretary to impose a 30-day ban on protest marches in the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest, Islington and Hackney.
This comes after these neighborhoods were taken over by angry rioters earlier in August when the police were outnumbered and unable to re-gain control over their citizens. More than 1,600 people were detained during the rioting, and the government continues to ignore the calls of the people.

During the unrest, a member of British parliament called for Royal troops to return to the Kingdom to “crush” it’s citizens. Perhaps the police had this in mind all along, because now they have absolute power, and you all know the saying…
Londoners, if you were looking for something to peacefully protest, you’ve just been lobbed a softball. Keep it peaceful and open the eyes of the police as they carry you off to a cage on wheels. Use words that will make them see how ridiculous they are for putting you away.
The far right English Defense League says it will defy the ban and stage a protest march Saturday. Police officials say they will deploy more than 3,000 officers during the march to deter violence, and in the process most likely cause the violence.
