• More Than Just Words

For evil to triumph, it only needs that the good do nothing.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

The question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be. The nation and the world are in dire need of creative extremists.

Where do we go from here?

In my last posts I communicated a sense of hopelessness in the face of recent events and general responses to them. Nothing much has changed. If anything the feelings have intensified. As a result I’m seriously considering withdrawing from ‘active service’.

The thing is though, after devoting the last five years of my life to trying to enable and facilitate positive change, these considerations don’t sit easily, and conflicting thoughts about my responsibilities demand to be heard. A slowly emerging idea has been to continue with my activism, but to change its direction from concentrating on what’s breaking down to what’s breaking through.

Actually this isn’t such a departure from my norm, as Psyclone, the result of the aforementioned five years’ work, and the Centre of the Psyclone website deal not only with problems but also with solutions.

Please check back in a week after the madness has subsided, when subsequent posts will, as I say, concentrate not on what’s breaking down, but on what’s breaking through.
